Welcome to my website. It's a work in progress but hey atleast I have an outlet now right?
Right... Well about me, my name is Colin James McDowell, and as you may know, my rap name is Blasé (formerly Elevated Learning). I have a interesting cultural background seeing as that my father is an Irishman from Patersonville, New York, and my mother is from Bogota, Colombia. The result is sheer unabridged sex appeal in some clothes and shoes. I would say that I started arranging words to form rhymes and flows at the tender age of 14, I was in 8th grade, and started making silly songs with a good friend of mine (J.Smith). Now, 6 years have almost passed, and I've noticed that I've progressed into being a confident, ambitious, musical talent...don't get me wrong though, there is still plenty to learn, and I haven't even crossed the rap scene threshold by any means. I'm currently enrolled in a transfer program at a junior college here in Virginia Beach, I plan on transferring to JMU (James Madison) for an elevated education...ya dig?
Anyways, my life wasn't always this boring. I lived in Yokohama, Japan for the first 7 years of my life while my father was active duty Navy. In 1997 my family made the decision to move to this tiny island in South East Asia called Singapore. It's a city/state, almost utopia, vital harbor, and multi-cultural boiling pot. The next 11 years were the best years of my short life...not that I'm dead or anything, but you know. I had the benefit of growing up overseas my entire life, so I have a pretty global perspective and am the furthest away from being narrow minded when it comes to views and practices (to you I may be a judgmental critic but I consider my judgments to be analytical). I've been around the world; Australia, New Zealand, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, France, Spain, U.K. (England/Wales), Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Holland, Italy, Monaco, Vatican City, Colombia, U.S.A (NY,, NJ, VA, MA, GA, CA, FL, NC, D.C., MI, OH, WV, MD, and DE), and South Africa.
