Under: Holidays/Travel
I usually forget the rest after that. I never really gave any attention to the full lyrics of a song I used to directly associate the country of Canada with every time I heard anything that had to do with Canada. Now that I am about to be in the country I might as well recite the full lyrics once to myself: "O Canada!
Our home and native land! True patriot love in all they sons command.
With glowing heart we see thee rise, The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free, O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee." Phew, glad I got that out of the way. Well tomorrow I will be in Winnipeg, Canada (in the province of Manitoba) to visit my good friend Sandy and to get a taste of real Canadian life. Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal are also on my list, but they will have to wait for another time. I will take photos and update you on the impressions I get and the differences I see while I'm there. 'Till then, asalamalakum.
