What Our Freedoms Have Done to "u.s."

Posted by Colin McDowell on Friday, February 26, 2010, In : Legalize It

Since it rarely goes said in the selfish mindsets of many who claim to be sharing and caring, our freedoms of speech, lawsuits, and voting have given us an ultimate sense of independency.  This is just an observation that has been circulating in my mind for the past couple of days.  As I listen to radio stations like NPR, or watch television broadcasts on CNN, or even listen to citizens of our America complain in the Express Lane (12 items or fewer) of Farm Fresh, I notice that it is general...

Blind, Blind, Blind Mice

Posted by Colin McDowell on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, In : Social Concern

My mind works in weird ways, and I feel like I am composed of 1 trillion identities, each having a conditional functioning.  Today I feel irritated in a sense, my girlfriend forgot my birth date this morning and, consequentially, it threw me off course for the majority of my morning (I shouldn't be mad because forgetting peoples birthday's generally happens when the people get comfortable with one another and remembering the date is no longer an important fact to remember, because you may r...

Super Close Superbowl...

Posted by Colin McDowell on Tuesday, February 9, 2010, In : Social Concern

Sunny day in Sun Life Stadium, gloomy day for the Colts, bonerific day for the Saints, and a glorious day for the city of New Orleans (this Superbowl win has all of a sudden fixed all of New Orleans problems, what a blessing).  The fate of the game was said to be decided by the performance of the Saints, and it turned out to be true.  It all boiled down to Indianapolis not being able to contain the Saints' multiple offensive threats in the most important moments (due to zone coverage and dou...

One night we made an Igloo

Posted by Colin McDowell on Wednesday, February 3, 2010, In : Extraterrestrial

So in case you didn't hear, a horrible/not so horrible snow storm swept through the mid-west and parts of the south-east.  Being advantageous, two days ago at approximately 4:45 pm Tommy and I laid the foundation for an igloo/frozen teepee.  About 9 hours later, a 4 and a half feet tall structure sheltered us from the terrifying cold.  Unfortunately, Tommy did a lot of the ground work by himself, building up a small mountain of snow while I was at work from 5:30 to 11 pm.  I eventually got b...
