FlyLo at the Bowery Ballroom

Brilliance.  The show kicked off with Strange Loop, who was followed by Teebs, then Taylor McFerrin (son of, "don't worry, be happy"); these guys were the opening acts.  Momentum then shifted more so towards the bass-y, jazzy side with Austin Peralta and Thundercat eventually making their appearances.

Purses/clutches for the modern aesthetic...

I love supporting my peers and their endeavors, and never have I had a friend who has taken on the challenge of designing accessories for the traveling human being.  So, today I feature the webpage that hosts 12 stunningly intricate purses/clutches created by, my friend, Kartika Marshall.  What separates these beautiful carriers from most is the highly noticeable emphasis placed on the relationship between nature and geometry, and how they coexist in such magnificent accordance.

Flying Lotus on Soundcloud... finally.

After months of having an empty account, FlyLo has gone on an uploading binge posting 13 tracks (including a beat for Elzhi, remixes of Massive Attack/Mr. Oizo/Bjork, a new one from Thundercat's upcoming Flying Lotus produced LP- The Golden Age of the Apocalypse, and many unreleased pieces) to Soundcloud in the past 48 hours.  I'm hoping that he uses the Cloud as a medium for some of his more obscure tracks (streaming is fine!) from here on out.  Anyhow, if you happen to be in NYC next Monday...
