(Kool DJ Herc and Coke La Rock throwin down, above)
(Grandmaster Flash introducing [what was]a revolutionary new instrument, below)

 The epic duo of
Kool DJ Herc and Coke La Rock are considered to be the fathers of hip-hop giving birth to this new genre of music and dance on the streets of 1520 Sedgwick Avenue and Cedar Park in the Bronx, NYC.  From party to party, these were the guys you would call on if you wanted a good time.  The development of B-Boy's and B-Girls (breakdancing cohorts) as well as huge sound systems and "mixing" (using two separate vinyls to make loops and tunes).  These guys slowly fell out to the rise of stars like Grandmaster Flash (the first DJ to fully incorporate turntables into music) and Afrika Bambaataa ("
known as the "Grandfather" and "Godfather" and The Amen Ra of Universal Hip Hop Culture as well as The Father of The Electro Funk Sound, one of the 3 originator of break beat DJ'ing").  All I beg of you guys is to do a little research just to be informed on the origin of an evolutionary genre... Hip-Hop.  And did you know that the word Rap derives from the British term for speaking on a subject of matter?
