Since it rarely goes said in the selfish mindsets of many who claim to be sharing and caring, our freedoms of speech, lawsuits, and voting have given us an ultimate sense of independency. This is just an observation that has been circulating in my mind for the past couple of days. As I listen to radio stations like NPR, or watch television broadcasts on CNN, or even listen to citizens of our America complain in the Express Lane (12 items or fewer) of Farm Fresh, I notice that it is generally someone else's problem that the rest of the United States must deal with. So many people complain about situations that they themselves are in vs. the situation of the United States as a whole which I consider to be selfish by all degrees and will only uproot more partisanship.
Why more partisanship? Because if one person complains about having to pay taxes (to help fund educational programs for example) which have been rendered insignificant by themselves or their family and another person praises the fact that they are giving a lending hand to the bettering of educational programs, we have partisanship. We refuse to believe that we are seceding from a union (unadulterated unification) but in all actuality, our broad spectrum of beliefs and values acts as a catalyst for our division. We need to work TOGETHER.
Find jobs that need to be done, don't stop looking either. Supply jobs that need to be done, don't try to maximize your own profit (this goes for abusively rich entrepreneurs who try to do everything by themselves). Contribute to a collective good, don't question the slow progress of a nation. Know that just about everything that the United States government is doing is a product of our own voting and wants. Know that the United States government's actions are meant to provide for our GDP, national security, quality of life, and freedom to do almost anything (so those that say that our government is overtly corrupt with hidden intentions meant to highlight a puppet democracy of some sort, in some aspects you may be right, but when making a generalization- you are wrong). We are losing faith and dedication, while gaining an individual outlook. We look out for our best SELF interests, we live by the motto "only the strong survive" and "it's a jungle out there", and we make money so that we can live HAPPILY (but since when was happiness a direct result of monetary wealth?).
Our selfish motives and actions won't get us anywhere, ask me how I know this... George W. Bush put the icing on the cake.

My mind works in weird ways, and I feel like I am composed of 1 trillion identities, each having a conditional functioning. Today I feel irritated in a sense, my girlfriend forgot my birth date this morning and, consequentially, it threw me off course for the majority of my morning (I shouldn't be mad because forgetting peoples birthday's generally happens when the people get comfortable with one another and remembering the date is no longer an important fact to remember, because you may r... As a hip-hop song writer and vocal operationalist, I demand that I know how my words affect the ears... simple as that.
But the difficulty of assessing how your voice/word play/word choice/rhythm affects the ears of other human beings is almost cynically detrimental to one's continuance of pursuing a dream or passion in singing/song-writing. In my case, the statement made in the previous sentence does not hold entirely true. I am an excellent self-critic and generally know what sounds pleasu... Continue reading...

Sunny day in Sun Life Stadium, gloomy day for the Colts, bonerific day for the Saints, and a glorious day for the city of New Orleans (this Superbowl win has all of a sudden fixed all of New Orleans problems, what a blessing). The fate of the game was said to be decided by the performance of the Saints, and it turned out to be true. It all boiled down to Indianapolis not being able to contain the Saints' multiple offensive threats in the most important moments (due to zone coverage and dou... Continue reading...

So in case you didn't hear, a horrible/not so horrible snow storm swept through the mid-west and parts of the south-east. Being advantageous, two days ago at approximately 4:45 pm Tommy and I laid the foundation for an igloo/frozen teepee. About 9 hours later, a 4 and a half feet tall structure sheltered us from the terrifying cold. Unfortunately, Tommy did a lot of the ground work by himself, building up a small mountain of snow while I was at work from 5:30 to 11 pm. I eventually got b... Continue reading...

I'm sure you have heard some political jargon this week regarding Democrats, Republicans, and the first State of the Union address of 2010. Well if you didn't quite understand what the underlying messages were, or what the goals of each party are, I am here to help clarify (well at least try to):
Left Wing: So Barack Obama and his Jackasses were elected amidst strife and economic digression (recession), something we all knew, but something Obama had to reiterate throughout the week (in case ... Continue reading...

So this weekend was ill, add some more experiences to my never ending list of sensual encounters. I arrived in Manahttan on Friday morning at about 7 am on the Sprinter Bus (Destiny) line, which I must say is a significant upgrade from the last bus line I was taking (refer to document titled Customer Service vs. None). I got in on 34th Street (but there was no miracle) and headed over to my buddy Sam's humble abode, the 3rd floor of an NYU dormitory in Union Square... also home to Ross Bra... Continue reading...

Pardon the absence, took a brief break to sort out some mental issues while providing southern hospitality for numerous guests. It was a short-lived but fun break, so I am fairly pleased (had 3 friends from Singapore in town, my girlfriend rode a bus to come see me last weekend, working off some of my debt, assembling my near-future, spent quality time with the family... who wouldn't be pleased?). But now I am back to use this blog as my outlet, yissss.
OK so after 4 months of reading (com... Continue reading...
