Brilliance. The show kicked off with Strange Loop, who was followed by Teebs, then Taylor McFerrin (son of, "don't worry, be happy"); these guys were the opening acts. Momentum then shifted more so towards the bass-y, jazzy side with Austin Peralta and Thundercat eventually making their appearances. Continue reading...

I love supporting my peers and their endeavors, and never have I had a friend who has taken on the challenge of designing accessories for the traveling human being. So, today I feature the webpage that hosts 12 stunningly intricate purses/clutches created by, my friend, Kartika Marshall. What separates these beautiful carriers from most is the highly noticeable emphasis placed on the relationship between nature and geometry, and how they coexist in such magnificent accordance. After months of having an empty account, FlyLo has gone on an uploading binge posting 13 tracks (including a beat for Elzhi, remixes of Massive Attack/Mr. Oizo/Bjork, a new one from Thundercat's upcoming Flying Lotus produced LP- The Golden Age of the Apocalypse, and many unreleased pieces) to Soundcloud in the past 48 hours. I'm hoping that he uses the Cloud as a medium for some of his more obscure tracks (streaming is fine!) from here on out. Anyhow, if you happen to be in NYC next Monday... Continue reading...

Too good to be true? I think yes, and my suspicions have been web confirmed by countless other viewers. Regardless, nobody try this... please (you will be shot dead).

I tried to express my concerns for the ever so fast devolution of love by explaining the perspective which I am looking from... I'm more so focusing on the results of actions and mindsets rather than the intentions and reasons behind them. Some of us think that we are doing the right thing; however, it feels to me that as the population grows (and the world shrinks) and morals/ethics change we inch closer towards losing a concept of the "right thing". Individualism and independence have ris... Continue reading...

I write free hand and free verse when it comes to personal narratives... I have this blog, journals, and documents dedicated to remembering most of my deep thoughts and feelings. I do this so that I can reflect on these captured moments later in my life... it also helps to forge a concrete ideology (that I can call my own) in a life of constant evolution. Another, more research based, reason is to gather enough observations and notes for me to conduct my own experiments and studies when I a... Continue reading...

Pacquiao beats Mosley in a less than exhilarating fight... the Heat came back from 10+ deficit to beat the Celtics and capture a 2-1 playoff lead... and today is Mothers Day, a day of gratefulness and an excuse to show how much you appreciate your mama. I treat everyday as if it is Mothers Day, wish everybody else would do the same... this principle actually applies to just about every holiday or day of appreciation I happen to experience. So... everyday is Christmas, everyday is Valentines... Continue reading...

Well, as a result of our recent accomplishment... finding and eliminating one of the worlds most sought after terrorist leaders (which in all actuality accomplished very little)... the U.S. government now has several of Osama's personal videos, 5 of which the Pentagon has elected to share with the public (I wonder what the others contain?). I found the vids online at ABC news but I'm sure they are circulating on just about every news gathering and broadcasting company on the web, TV, and pap... Continue reading...

It never ceases to amaze me... listening to local (Hampton Roads) artists who venture into the realms of creativity to explore their more passionate/artistic sides. Not only do they express themselves in a significantly unique manner, but they elect to publicly display their works, be it audibly or visually. One artist who continues to catch my ear in an overly positive way is the man behind Goulash Music, Bernard Eure... aka Bobby Blunt. I don't know much about the man, other than that he...
